The Truth of "Wife and My Dad"

A friend who's read my book forwarded a link to this story, I guess because of the obvious parallels even though there are also many differences.

I've read literally thousands of similar stories in magazines and on the internet.  Half the fun is finding the true ones, it's usually easy.  In this case I'm not so sure.  Here's the link to the story in question.  It's quite long but you can get the just of it pretty quickly.  I'll try not to spoil it in case you want to go back and read the whole thing:

Wife and My Dad

While cuckold isn't really my thing I have to say this is one of the most impressive stories I've ever read.  I actually went back and read the whole thing again to understand why, and I've decided it's Dave's writing style.  This style is what I call "subjective reality".  Much like my book, Dave tries very hard to put the reader in his shoes.  Not only does he capture every detail, he's VERY candid about what he's feeling.

Oh, and he's also a better writer than I.  Or at least more sensitive and expressive.

What makes this thread so interesting to me is how it moves from fantasy to reality in layers as the thread evolves.  And the rest of this forum is authentically involved in this real-time adventure.  Also embedded in the story is the question of his wife's veracity.  How much of what SHE says is true?  We know Dave is blinded by love so we wonder what it is he can't see and therefore can't tell.  It keeps us wondering about who might be omitting what, on what level.

And finally there's the story taken at face value.  For the moment let's give Curiousdave the benefit of the doubt.  At the very least this thread is an excellent depiction of what motivates triolism, and of course there's it's value as jack-off material.  Dave does a good job of setting up the dynamic of the characters and then slowly delivers the goods.

Which brings me to some of my doubts.  Dad as bull is almost TOO perfect as a cuck fantasy.  He's more wealthy, accomplished, attractive than AND he has a bigger dick.  Such a perfect foil is often a red flag for bullshit.  Plus dad doesn't seem to have ANY remorse or concern at all for his son, which is EXACTLY how a dedicated cuck would see it.  Is this "dad" a character playing a part, or an actual dad in distress?  But then I guess it IS his STEP-dad, for what that's worth.

But let's yield dad's dick and moral issues for the moment.  There's also the fact that dad's wife has conveniently died.  Then there are all the medical challenges in this family, which seem to work as foils at various points and at just the right time.  But these medical events could also be seen as helping to meet the "shit happens" test (a section in How to Make Love Die).  Curiousdave even uses the same line in one of his posts.

And then there's the relatively quick and clean ending, tragic as it is.  Or is he really done?  Wife and My Dad" is almost a morality play for cucks.  Real life is usually not so clean, fast or simple.  Such transition often drags on for years with shifting loyalty and disclosure, which is even more reason to doubt the wife.

Still, you have to appreciate the writing style.  Dave's observation of the subtle is... well... subtle.  With this kind of super-power you'd think he'd have picked up on a few more clues about the transition from his wife, as well as from Dad.  But maybe not because of the drugs.  You'd think he'd have been a little less blind-sided. Still, denial IS a powerful force, so I'll let is have it's play in my mind as well.

In conclusion, if you're interested in the topic, this thread is WELL worth your time, true or not.  And if fiction, it's almost as valuable as the truth.  Either way, it's a truly great read.

The best of luck to Curiousdave.
